Spark Podcast Workshop

We went to spark and we were asked to get into groups and i was in a group with Daniel Purushev.

Section 1: be able to contribute to the setting of team and individual goals.

Me and Daniel both and everyone else in the class were asked to create a podcast about something and me and then Daniel and I decided that we would do our podcast about moving to the UK without knowing any English at all. We both decided that this will be appropriate because  Daniel and I are not from the UK (hes Bulgarian and I'm South African) and we both had different experiences and reasons for coming to the UK  which gave us more things to talk about in the podcast. We named the podcast Disconnect because it kind of represented us leaving our home lands to come to the UK.

Section 2/3:  understand own and others responsibilities in achieving the team goals and be able to plan and undertake team activities.

We didn't have any ideas apart from the original one about moving to England because we both found it difficult to come up with ideas then Daniel came up with the idea of talking about moving countries. Daniel and I have very equal role, we both talked about why we came to England and thought of 10 questions to ask one another. It was both of our responsibility to think of our own different questions to ask one another. When we finished preparing our questions it was Daniels responsibility to record out podcast and make sure we both had it,We didn't need much equipment just Daniels phone.We recorded the podcast on Daniels phone and then shared it via email. When it came to presenting the podcasts we played it out in front of everyone and then we discussed why we chose that particular topic.

Section 4: be able to review team activities

I believe that me and Daniel both contributed ideas to the group i came up with the name, he came up with the topic we discussed on the podcast and the we both thought of questions.

I found it difficult to get ideas on what the podcast should  be about which slowed us down, but when it came to talking to Daniel about experience and thinking of question i was quiet good at that. From the task i learned to communicate effectively with my partner and i also learned that you can get podcast for different types of topics, they have to cater to certain groups of people.
